Warehouse Team Leader

Purpose of the Team Leader role: To organise, motivate, manage, and develop the team members to achieve safety, quality and production targets whilst complying with Company procedures and cultural goals.

Key Accountabilities of Team Leader: • Manage absence and performance within the department to ensure correct staffing levels for each function are in place at all times in order to ensure KPIs are being met. • Coaching team members and providing ongoing development support to ensure continuous improvement objectives are met. • Manage a 6S process to drive improvements in housekeeping & processes. • Ensure the quality standards of the product are met in order that the number of remedial requests are minimised and to hit OTIF and Quality goals. • Identify and deliver sustainable improvements in employee morale through engagement and involvement. • Support peers in delivering improvements to the overall business performance (cross- functional). • Adhere to Company policies and procedures and statutory requirements to limit risk and support the cultural goals.

Essential competencies to do this job well: 1-2 years’ experience in as a Supervisory/Team Leader role Good command of English language – written and spoken Demonstrated experience of effectively managing and motivating teams Demonstrated ability to make decisions under pressure Demonstrated ability to identify potential health and safety issues and take appropriate action Ability to identify training needs and put plans in place to upskill individuals Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate production requirements Ability to accept and drive change through a positive approach Flexible communication skills Understanding of a manufacturing operation including stores. Good knowledge Sage Line 1000 or other ERP system, and Power BI desirable but not essential.
