Key Account Manager

Key Account Manager Role: To take ownership of specified national key accounts and to deliver the targeted profitable growth whilst establishing PRMF as a preferred supplier. Building relationships at a senior level within key target regional business units, gaining the chance to quote and developing innovative ways to gain volume. You will be working to establish a key account approach both internally and with customers so that key accounts form a significant and growing share of PRMF’s business. The role will be targeted against the number of new trading regions of the national housebuilders with an agreed Group deal and growth of gross profit generated from key account business nationally. Accountabilities of Key Account Manager Role: • To deliver the annual tactical key account plan in line with the 3-year strategic plan in order that the strategic plan is delivered. • To engage proactively in understanding the strategic plans of the customer to influence and collaborate on the design and product mix for future homes so that PRMF is seen as a valued partner. • To provide and suggest innovative and insightful solutions to challenges that the customer is facing so that PRMF is viewed as a creative, solution provider by the customer. • To access proactively (internally and externally) site, account and industry intelligence. To actively communicate that intelligence in monthly, tactical account plan updates so that we flexibly respond to changing conditions and opportunities to maximise results. • To deliver the national key account P&L revenue and profit as agreed. • To engage proactively with internal stakeholders in order that all relevant colleagues recognise and are actively engaged in the successful delivery of the tactical account plan. Competencies required: Essential: • Demonstrable experience of consultative selling a B2B solution contracts (with a product and service element). • Demonstrable experience of selling £100K to £500K and potentially £1M+ contracts. • Demonstrable experience in opening new regional and volume accounts. • Demonstrable ability to convert sales activity into profitable business. • Experience and knowledge of working with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce. Desirable: • Previous sales & key account management experience within the construction industry, ideally within the kitchen or interior fit-out and manufacturing sector. Skills: • Strong relationship management skills. • Tactical approach to networking. • Good listener. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Good organisational skills. • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
