This is a great opportunity for an Assistant QS who is looking for the next step in their career. You will be responsible for the Financial Management of a number of projects.
Key Accountabilities of the Project Quantity Surveyor:
To capture and agree with the customers the variation values in conjunction with the Project Manager to maximise revenue.
To resolve with customers disagreements in revenue for work done so that the business achieves payment of invoice values.
To identify and report on the forecast revenue and cost for live contracts in order that monthly. Company accounts accurately reflect the expected profitability.
To instruct the Accounts Department to raise VAT invoices once agreement is achieved with customers so that time to payment is minimised.
To procure and control sub-contractor costs and to authorise for payment.
To escalate concerns about uncontrolled or out of process change so that the best interests of the business are protected.
To assist the Project Manager in compiling the monthly project health reports (including CVR).
HND/HNC in Construction or relevant QS qualification plus 2-3 years’ experience Or 3-5 years managing construction project accounts.
Intermediate Excel skills.

Effective in forming and maintaining relationships in pressured circumstances. Ability to clearly articulate reasoning.
